Dietary Assessment Ltd's vision is to help individuals as well as health practitioners and researchers to better track, monitor and improve nutritional intake and reduce the likelihood of diet related disease.

myfood24 has an important role in public health and reducing the rates of obesity. It could be used by general practices, hospitals, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and other health services both in the UK and abroad. For example, the system could help health practitioners better monitor the impact of diet on the health of their patients. It could also be used to capture patient related feedback for use in a clinical setting.

The myfood24 food and nutrition dataset includes 'back of pack' nutrient data (energy (kcal), protein (g), fat (g), saturated fat (g), carbohydrate (g), total sugars (g), fibre (g) and sodium (mg)) from a wide range of branded and non-branded food and drink items. It also includes over 100 macronutrient and micronutrient attributes, such as vitamins and trace metals. This means that myfood24 can be used for a wide range of purposes from research to front line healthcare. To find out more click here.
