What’s New – Product, Database and Resources
The second quarter of 2026 has been another busy and productive period for the team at myfood24. Behind the scenes, we’ve been focused on strengthening our food composition databases, enhancing functionality across all three of our platforms, and creating evidence-based resources to support our users.
Here’s a look at what we’ve achieved during Q2.
Database Enhancements

Expanded Portion Image Coverage
We’ve significantly increased the number of portion images available across our UK food database, improving the user experience and supporting more accurate dietary reporting.
- Portion image series were added to 405 food items that previously had no visual portion guides.
- New images include milk, squash, sausages and spoon measures.
- An important step towards expanding portion image coverage across our entire database
New Food items
Our databases continue to grow to better reflect the foods our users consume around the world.
- Approximately 1,400 new food items have been added across our datasets.
- 120 new foods were introduced to our Danish database, creating a richer resource for researchers and participants.
- More than 1,300 new foods were added to our World Foods database, improving coverage across a wider range of countries and cuisines.
Product Developments
During Q2, we delivered 14 product enhancements across the myfood24 platforms. Every improvement is designed with our customers in mind, and many of this quarter’s updates were developed in direct response to customer feedback. Your insights continue to shape our roadmap, helping us make myfood24 even more effective and intuitive for everyone who uses it.
